Dococo works on your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit your documents. There's no Dococo account, no analytics SDK, and no ads. If you turn on iCloud Sync, Apple stores your library in your iCloud account so iPhone and Mac can share it.
01What we don't collect
Dococo is designed around a simple rule: your documents are your business. We do not collect:
- Your documents, scans, signatures, or any file content
- Personal information such as your name, email, or contacts
- Usage analytics, behavioral data, or tracking identifiers
- Location data
- Device fingerprints or advertising identifiers
There is no Dococo account system, no sign-up, and no server that receives your data.
02On-device processing
All core features — scanning, OCR, PDF editing, compression, signing, and export — run locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Your files never leave your device unless you explicitly share them (Share Sheet, Save to Files) or you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings.
Optional iCloud Sync
iCloud Sync is off by default. When you enable it, Dococo stores your library (documents, folders, names, favorites, OCR text, and Recently Deleted items) in an iCloud Drive container tied to your Apple ID. Apple syncs that container between devices signed into the same account. Dococo has no server of its own and cannot read your iCloud files. Turning sync off copies the library back to On My Device; files already in iCloud remain in your Apple ID until you delete them from every device or from iCloud storage.
Camera & photo access
Dococo requests camera access only to scan documents, and photo library access only when you choose to import images. These permissions are used solely for the features you trigger.
Files you share
When you export or share a document, it goes through the standard iOS/macOS share sheet directly to the destination you pick. Dococo plays no role in that transfer and retains no copy.
03Purchases & subscriptions
Dococo Premium is sold through the Apple App Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store your payment details. Apple may share a pseudonymous purchase token with us so the app can verify your Premium entitlement; this token contains no personal information.
04Third-party services
Dococo embeds no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only third party involved in your use of Dococo is Apple, for app distribution and optional in-app purchases. Apple's own privacy policy applies to those interactions.
05Data security
Local files benefit from the same protections as the rest of your device: hardware encryption, your passcode, and Face ID / Touch ID. iCloud-synced files additionally use Apple's iCloud encryption. If you delete the app, the on-device library is deleted with it. Files you've exported elsewhere, or that remain in your iCloud account, are unaffected.
06Children's privacy
Dococo collects no personal data from anyone, including children. The app is suitable for all ages and contains no ads or in-app tracking.
07Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and note significant changes in the app's release notes. Our commitment to on-device processing will not change.
